Terra plans include every product. What differs is how many credits you get each month and, on Groups, how many clinicians share the bill.

The plans

PlanPriceCredits each month
Terra$50 per month20,000
Pro$99 per month40,000
Groups$89 per clinician per month, 3 to 100 clinicians35,000 per clinician

Groups adds assistants and roles, co-signatures, shared templates and per-clinician spending limits. There is no annual contract.

What a credit is

One credit is $0.001 of model usage. Credits pay for the work that calls an AI or speech model:

  • live and file transcription, by the minute,
  • note drafts,
  • code suggestions,
  • record chat answers,
  • evidence research.

Typing, editing, signing, amending, exporting, manual coding and text shortcuts never use credits.

A typical visit

At published model prices, a 20-minute recorded visit uses about 90 credits for transcription plus about 50 for the note draft, roughly 140 credits in total. That puts the Terra plan at about 140 such visits a month and Pro at about 280. Live transcription is billed by session time at 12 credits per minute, so the same visit transcribed live uses about 240 credits for transcription. Your numbers will vary with visit length and note size. See pricing for the arithmetic.

Estimates before work runs

Before a draft, a code suggestion run, evidence research or a live session, Terra shows an estimate and reserves that many credits. When the work finishes, the actual usage is charged and the rest is returned straight away. For live transcription, the reservation covers the session limit you chose and is settled on the actual session time.

If a provider's answer is unclear, for example the connection dropped before it confirmed, the reservation stays held until a practice manager reconciles it. It is never charged twice.

Where to see your balance

The credit balance and renewal date sit at the bottom of the sidebar. Select it to open Usage and plan, which separates included credits from purchased top-ups and shows any held amounts.

When credits run out

New drafts, transcription and other credit-using work pause. Nothing is charged automatically. Buy a top-up or wait for the next month. Your records stay readable, and you can still edit, sign and export.
